About Us
The Northeast Literacy Network was formed as a way to continue the work of the Widening Access for Adult Literacy project (see Our History page). We are an action-oriented network of 17 community agencies working in Northeast Edmonton, Alberta. Network activities include:
- Raising awareness of literacy issues (e.g. International Literacy Day and Learning Day events)
- Helping community agencies create Literacy Friendly Environments
- Organizing Professional Development workshops
